'73cl' on the bottle. No alcohol cited. From a very hot summer. Deep lustrous tawny. Rich and a wonderful combination of sweetness and freshness. Hints of toasted almonds. Still going extremely strong and really refreshing rather than sickly. (JR)

The 1976 Climens contains 116g/L residual sugar and is quite youthful considering its age. It has a beautiful nose with barley sugar, Manuka honey, white chocolate and praline scents that emerges with time. Very focused. The palate is perfectly balanced with a fine line of acidity, elegant and poised. Focused towards the finish with a touch of ginger that vibrantly lingers. What a brilliant Climens. Tasted at the Climens vertical at the château in April 2022.

A glorious bottle bought ex château in1998. Brilliant orange. So rich with burnt caramel flavours and yet so fresh and lively too. The nose had a blossom quality to it. Superb. Though Simon Hopkinson's pistachio ice cream was a bit of a distraction. Thick and sweet and dense. (JR)

Quite a dark barley-sugar gold. Deep golden orange. High VA. Very sweet. Full and round and low acid. Fine skeined. Just the right balance now – so long as you like sweetness. I’d love a slice of Roquefort with this! Lovely balance and a hint of orange peel. Creamy texture. Just slightly chewy end – grip! Some peachiness. (JR)
