The soft, round, generously-endowed, delicious 2007 La Dame De Montrose is very much in keeping with its bigger sister. It should drink well over the next 5-8 years.
Second wine of Ch Montrose. Mid intensity of dark crimson with purple rim. Neat, low-key nose. Sweet, light Merlot start (32% Merlot). A light kiss rather than an embrace. Well balanced but very lightweight. Much softer, lighter tannins than usual for a St-Estèphe. Lightweight fruit. More refined than its stablemate Tronquoy-Lalande but pretty lean. (JR)

About the producer

Ch. Montrose is one of two Second Growths from Saint-Estèphe and one of the most consistent producers in Bordeaux. The wines from this property are both elegant and powerful, and some of the Médoc's most age-worthy .
