Score 92/100 · Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2015
Sweet tobacco, mint, leather, autumn leaves, cedar, smoke and mint are some of the signatures of the 1990 Cabernet Sauvignon. At twenty- five years of age, the 1990 remains youthful and surprisingly deep. Although the bouquet shows lovely signs of maturity, the 1990 appears to have enough depth to drink well for another decade, perhaps longer, even if time is not likely to make it a materially better wine than it is today. Readers should expect a classic, Old World Napa Cabernet with some imperfections, including a touch of brett that will disturb some tasters more than others. With time in the glass, the 1990 comes together nicely though.
