Tasting notes
Coming from 55% in Napa and 45% in Sonoma, the 2018 Cabernet Franc is a pretty, elegant wine that shows the floral, feminine side to this variety nicely. Revealing a medium ruby/purple color as well as perfumed notes of black raspberries, mulberries, spring flowers, candied violets, and spice, it's medium-bodied and has nicely integrated oak, silky tannins, and a great finish. It's not a blockbuster, but it shines for its balance, harmony, and length. Enjoy bottles any time over the coming decade or more.

The 2018 Cabernet Franc is absolutely delicious. Medium in body, with striking aromatic lift, the 2018 is so rewarding right out of the gate. Crushed flowers, mint, red berry fruit, spice and mocha all grace the 2018. Although not super-complex nor structured, the 2018 Franc is the sort of wine that is opened and disappears in an instant.
A blend of 85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon coming 59% from Napa County and 41% from Sonoma County, the medium garnet-purple colored 2018 Cabernet Franc comes bounding out of the glass with exuberant notions of ripe black and red cherries, mulberries and wild blueberries plus suggestions of pencil shavings, allspice, lavender and bay leaves. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly played with refreshing red fruits with herbal accents and a slight, pleasant chewiness to the texture, finishing with a peppery kick. 2,132 cases were made.
