The 2018 Anjou Blanc is terrific, with a vibrant, racy style as well as notes of white grapefruit, tart apple, chalky mineral, honeyed flowers, and a briny, salty, seaside-like character that develop with time in the glass. This rich, medium-bodied white has terrific concentration and extract, a layered, perfectly balanced mouthfeel, and a great finish that makes you salivate. It’s more intellectual and unevolved at the moment and will benefit from a solid 3-4 years of bottle age. It will age brilliantly.
