Tasting notes
70% Sauvignon Blanc Musqué and 30% Sauvignon Blanc. The wine was aged on its lees for 12 months in a combination of stainless steel (28%), concrete eggs (14%), used oak (36%) and new oak (22%). The Eisele Vineyard grapes are certified organic by CCOF and biodynamic by Demeter. Edgy, almost throat-catching Sauvignon nose. Then much more richness on the palate than is suggested on the tense nose. Lanolin and green vegetation makes an alluring combination that, amazingly, is not quite yet ready! (JR)

Bottled in early August 2020, the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc was fermented and aged in 25% Stainless Steel, 15% concrete eggs and the remainder in French oak barrels, 25% new. It leaps from the glass with wonderfully intense notes of white peaches, grapefruit, mandarin peel and honeysuckle with wafts of yuzu and paraffin wax. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is beautifully balanced with loads of mineral accents and a lovely satiny texture, finishing very long and savory.
