Crimson with a weak rim. Well balanced but a bit tough and fruitless on the end. Losing fruit? (JR)

Strong mocha oak aromas but there’s a sweet and delicately floral fruit note underneath. Chalky and rather dry on the palate and a bit abrupt and dry at the end. (JH)

Racy and glossy and very well balanced. Looks really attractive. 13% according to the label. I do not think that 2006 looks a better vintage than 2004 on the basis of this particularly little comparison! (JR)
About the producer

Kirwan
Philippe Delfaut has been integral to the transformation of Ch. Kirwan, taking an estate known for its lavish, Michel-Rolland style and bringing more classicism – with increased precision in the vineyard and winery.
