Tasting notes
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Elevation 1147 is a real powerhouse. It possesses layers of deep fruit along with equally imposing tannins. The heat and dryness of the vintage concentrated the flavors in what is an unusually potent, sumptuous vintage for the Elevation Cabernet.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Elevation 1147 is a richer, more concentrated wine, with beautiful blackcurrants, tobacco, chocolate, and spice notes, medium to full body, ripe, present tannins, terrific balance, and outstanding length. It's firmly in the elegant, pure, balanced end of the spectrum and has lots of class.
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Elevation 1147 is one of the most intriguing wines I have tasted at David Arthur in some time. Intensely perfumed and expansive on the palate, the Elevation 1147 captures all the best the vintage had to give. The 2017 is powerful and rich, while retaining the classic sense of structure that is such a David Arthur signature.
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Elevation 1147 (100% Cabernet) is deep garnet-purple colored with raisin cake, baked blackberries and prunes on the nose with hints of exotic spices and incense plus a waft of menthol. The palate is full-bodied, firm and chewy, with loads of dried berry flavors and a slightly rustic finish.
