Tasting notes
The 2021 Pinot Noir Cuvée Natalie Silver Belt Vineyard has fragrant scents of red cherries, pomegranate and raspberries with nuances of forest floor, woodsmoke and charcuterie. The medium-bodied palate features alluringly crunchy, earth-laced fruit supported by velvety tannins, vibrant acidity to balance its density of fruit and a long, layered, spicy finish. This irresistible Pinot Noir will certainly age, but there's no reason to wait! (EB)

The 2021 Pinot Noir Silver Belt Vineyard Cuvée Natalie is stellar. Rich and explosive, the 2021 is bursting with inky red/purplish fruit, rose petal, lavender, game, tobacco and incense. The purity of the flavors is just remarkable. There's so much textural depth and textural richness here. My impression is that the best is yet to come. (AG)
Extremely aromatic and flavorful with blue fruits, tar and roses with some pumice. Iron shavings. Ripe forest floor. Strawberries, too. Full, linear and very tight with focused and polished tannins that have excellent length and precision. Needs three or four years to open. Try after 2025.
Medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Pinot Noir Cuvée Natalie Silver Belt Vineyard, from red volcanic soils with patches of iron oxide, has a beautiful perfume of charcuterie, gravel dust, dried rose petals and potpourri with touches of peppercorn and tea leaves over blackberries, black cherries, cranberries and dried red cherries. It's light to medium-bodied and elegant, offering intense flavor layers of spicy, amaro-tinged fruits with a soft frame of finely woven tannins and juicy freshness, finishing very long and flavorful.
About the producer

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
