Medium ruby-purple, the 2019 Pinot Noir Flax Estate features rich red and black cherry fruit on the nose with tones of cinnamon, underbrush, potpourri and loads of spicy accents. The medium-bodied palate is concentrated and silky with bright bursts of acidity and a very long, layered finish. It continued to get better in bottle over several days, so give it another 2-3 years for more layers and earthy accents to unfold.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Flax Estate Vineyard brings together so many elements that make the DuMOL Pinots so appealing. Soaring aromatics, layered fruit and bright supporting acids are all beautifully integrated. More than anything else, the Flax impresses with its magnificent balance and pedigree.
