The Valle de Uco bottling from the Bramare range, the 2015 Bramare Valle de Uco Malbec is produced with grapes from the cooler, higher-altitude part of Mendoza. It's a blend of different vineyards and zones, some younger and some older, and it aged in oak barrels for 17 months. It's ripe and quite oaky—both conditions that, to me, hide a little of the character of the grape and place. It's riper than the 2014, with some grainy tannins and moderate acidity. 55,200 bottles were filled in November 2017.

(14.5% alcohol; the regional Bramare Malbecs and Cabernet Sauvignon were made the same way and bottled at the same time, with aging featuring 20% new French and 10% new American): Bright full ruby. Blackberry and violet aromas are accented by mint and eucalyptus. Dense and sappy on the palate, with dark berry flavors complemented by sexy oak tones; very purple fruit in character. An energetic wine without any hard edges, this Malbec finishes with suave tannins and excellent subtle length. More savory than sweet.
