2010 Damilano - Barolo Cerequio

The 2010 Barolo Cerequio offers good immediacy, but less in the way of site-specific nuance. Crushed flowers, sweet red cherries, orange peel and mint overtones blossom over time. The 2010 is pretty, but it lacks the mid-palate depth and consistency of the best wines in the range. Overall, this is a fairly straightforward Cerequio to drink now and over the next decade. In my view, Cerequio is one of the very best vineyards in Barolo, but this wine rarely manages to capture that potential.
