Tasting notes
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Lot 48 showed nicely, with a classic, slightly old-school style in its red and black currant fruits as well as notes of menthol, cedary spice, and tobacco-like aromas and flavors. Nicely textured, medium-bodied, and balanced, it's another fine effort from this estate that will keep for 15-20 years.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate has an opaque ruby purple color and a nose of crème de cassis and Morello cherries with hints of vanilla, menthol and cedar. The full-bodied palate is still showing some woodiness. It has a dense, ripe character and finishes with just enough freshness. 755 cases produced.
Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate vineyard in the Sonoma Mountain AVA, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Laurel Glen Vineyard was brought up in 55% new French oak. It sports a deep purple color as well as lots of mineral-drenched black and blue fruits along with notes of charcoal, graphite, and lead pencil. It's rich and medium-bodied, with beautiful purity of fruit and a balanced style that's going to age gracefully. It shows the purity, balance, and overall harmony of this great vintage.
