Score 94/100 · Robert Parker, Dec 2011
A step up in quality, the 2009 Hermitage Les Rocoules Blanc is a fat, unctuously textured effort with loads of honeysuckle, anise, white peach, caramelized grapefruit and nectarines as well as thick, juicy flavors and enough acidity to provide definition and vibrancy. This blockbuster hit 14-14.5% natural alcohol. Importer: J.O.A. Imports, McLean, VA; www.jaowineimports.com

Creamy pear nose. Very tangy but a bit soapy too and a little too bitter and hard on the finish. (JH)
