The only release not from the Russian River, the 2017 Chardonnay Susanna's Vineyard comes from a site on the Sonoma Coast and was brought up in 50% new French oak. Lots of white flowers, chalky minerality, citrus, and subtle toasty notes all emerge from this beauty, which is a fresher, more lively, focused effort that still carries ample concentration and richness. It's a gem of a Chardonnay in the vintage that will evolve for 10-12 years.

This has a flinty, grapefruit and grilled-lemon nose with a juicy and fleshy feel to the palate, which delivers impressively rich textural impact. Fresh and concentrated fruit to close. Drink now.
