Tasting notes
Good medium red. Urgent crushed raspberry, pungent spices, minerals, game, flowers and underbrush on the nose. Concentrated, pliant and spicy, with very good energy for the year. Finishes firm, fresh and very long, with slightly exotic floral and spice character. Also tasted: Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes.

Dee p red. Red berries, tobacco, licorice, leather and game on the musky, wild nose. Superconcentrated but classically dry, with intriguing flavors of cherry pit and dried herbs coating the entire mouth. A rather elegantly styled wine that seems gently extracted. Solidly structured, with a very long finish that features suave tannins. Though not high in acidity, this comes across as quite fresh, which Frederic attributes in part to the fact that the wine finished its sugar fermentation in tank.
