Score 91/100 · Drink 2023-2030, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Oct 2023

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Valley comes from the Moon Mountain District (60%) and Sonoma Valley (40%). It's blended with 8% Merlot and 2% Malbec and was matured in 100% new oak for 24 months. It hasn't aged as gracefully as some of the other vintages, showing a touch of desiccation. It has fully tertiary aromas of iodine, dried tobacco and cherry coulis. The palate is soft and silky with a core of baked fruit and tones of mushroom and spice on the finish. Drink it over the next 5-8 years. 1,265 cases were made.
