Tasting notes
This shows linear, fine tannins that run down the length of the wine. Pine cone, resin, blackberry, strawberry, blackcurrant and ink. Citrusy, too. 93% cabernet sauvignon with cabernet franc, merlot and petite verdot. This needs four or five years come together.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortis ratchets up the price as well as the quality. It too is a classic 2015 and is loaded with notions of sweet blackberries, cassis, incense, fruitcake, and white chocolate aromas and flavors. It's deep, full-bodied, and voluptuous on the palate, with an undeniable flamboyant, sexy style that's just a joy to drink. Despite all its upfront appeal, it's going to keep for two decades.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortis is a selection of Pine Ridge's best blocks across their various ranches. Dense and unctuous in feel, the Fortis has plenty to offer in a forward, voluptuous style that is quite flashy. Drink it over the next handful of years. Sweet red cherry jam, mocha, new oak and licorice add to the wine's racy feel. (AG)
Very exotic fruits to this with the regular blackcurrant character. And then it moves on to peaches and mangoes. Full body, round and juicy tannins and a flavorful finish.
