Tasting notes
A very ripe purple fruit, spice and distinctly earthy nose gives way to generous, mouth coating and rich middle weight plus flavors that possess a seductive mouth feel on the highly complex and impeccably well balanced finish. This is very stylish with lovely acid/fruit/tannin harmony and outstanding length. This too will require lots of time to really be at its best. I should note that this is a bit riper than I personally prefer and there is a hint of warmth but overall this is still very impressive.

Intense, rather ‘cool’ nose. Very dry indeed but with lots built in there. Difficult to judge at this stage because it seems more youthful than almost any other 2009 I have so far tasted. No great follow-through at the moment. (JR)
