Score 89/100 · Drink 2024-2029, Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, Sep 2022
Hailing from 80-year-old wines on siliceous clay soils, the 2018 Les Perrières has round, fine, abundant tannins that coat the palate like a veil. Ripe fruit profile with fruit cake notes and an abundance of powdery tannins that really grip the palate leaving a dry finish. Lightly medicinal character. Ambitious but not sure it's been handled as carefully as it ought to have been.
