Score 88/100 · Drink 1997-2006, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
The 1983 has aged beautifully, and has now reached full maturity. The color is a dark, murky garnet with some lightening at the edge. It is atypically powerful for d'Angludet, possessing a rich, licorice, fennel, blackberry and cassis-scented nose with earthy overtones. This rich, fleshy, and full-bodied, mouthfilling, chewy d'Angludet is impressive for its size, ripeness, and extract. Anticipated maturity: Now-2006. Last tasted 8/97
