Tasting notes
Intense, fierce acidity, not too much but a little llicorella (licking hot stones) influence obvious. Pretty tough austere finish. £11.99 Indigo Wine (JR)

The 2006 Ceps Nous uses fruit from the estate’s younger vines aged for 3-6 months in seasoned French and American oak. It is a blend of Garnacha, Merlot, Mazuelo, and Syrah. Dark crimson-colored, it has a fragrant bouquet of garrigue, mineral, black cherry, and blueberry. On the palate it delivers gobs of bright, lively fruit buttressed by good acidity, excellent intensity and concentration, and complex flavors. It is a fine value and a great introduction to Priorat. It can be enjoyed over the next 8-10 years. Importer: Classical Wines From Spain, Seattle, WA; www.classicalwines.com
