Tasting notes
Deep and savory with aromas of blackberries, black plums, graphite, tobacco leaves and baking spices. The palate is full-bodied and compact with dense dark fruit, firm tannins and a mineral edge that drives the long, spice-laced finish. Starting to show its age. Drink now.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon John Anthony is sweetly fruited and heavy on the oak.
Chocolatey aromas, together with blackberries, some grilled meat and dried herbs. Rich and juicy on the medium-to full-bodied palate, filled with sweet blackberries and firm tannins. Drink now or hold.
A blend of fruit from Calistoga, Coombsville, and Oak Knoll, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon delivers pretty classic notes of cassis, plum and vanilla. Aged in two-thirds new French oak, it's full-bodied, soft, ripe and creamy, finishing plush. It's already approachable but should continue to drink well for at least several more years.
