Score 91/100 · Drink 2019-2023, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2018

The 2015 Pinot Noir Le Moulin Rouge is an attractive wine that offers good depth in its bright red berry fruit and floral notes. In 2015, the Moulin Rouge offers a bit less density and textural depth than is the norm, while the tannins have an element of hardness that is impossible to escape. Then again, yields in 2015 were pitifully low.

Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Le Moulin Rouge Pisoni Vineyard is scented of red currant jelly, baked cherries and rhubarb pie with hints of black tea, garrigue, lavender and dusty earth. Medium-bodied, fine, fresh and harmonious, it has a lovely silken texture and a long, earth-laced finish. Bottled in May 2017, 447 cases were made.
