Tasting notes
A wine to inhale. A composition of green mint, sage and chalk which would refresh even the most exhausted of olfactory senses. Squeaky clean and fresh on the palate, with an intriguing touch of tropical fruit, sweet lemon too, healthy acidity and chalky mineral finish. Has not quite unfolded its full potential yet. (MS)

Very small berries and small yields of c 35 hl/ha. Fermented in tank. RS c 3 g/l. Tank sample. A slightly fumy nose of spontaneous fermentation but the fruit is to the fore. Bright, lively and has lovely depth of citrus fruit as well as the herbal/fumy complexity of the ferment. The smokiness really enhances the minerality here so it seems more complex than in some vintages, more intensity, too. Grapefruit tension and freshness. (JH)
