Score 93/100 · Drink 2006-2011, Robert Parker, Feb 2006
The 2003 Ermitage Chante Alouette blanc is more honeyed than the 2004, and seemingly more fragile, but intense and full-bodied. It reveals notes of hazelnuts, honeysuckle, white currants, quince, and butter. This fat white should be drunk over the next 3-5 years.

Exotic aromas of oriental spices, honeysuckle and summer flowers. Rich and spicy, with good life in the mouth despite having completed its malolactic fermentation. Has enough mid-palate material to support its slightly bitter tannic edge. This will age longer than the 2002, Mazoyer believes. But this may well shut down in bottle for several years.
