2014 Del Dotto Cabernet Sauvignon Single Cluster Series Rutherford Estate

Readers looking for a somewhat Margaux-like style of wine should check out Del Dotto’s 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve Rutherford Estate, which was made from the Martha’s Vineyard clone of Cabernet Sauvignon, a grape clone that by all local accounts was poached off of Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards at Château Margaux. This wine offers floral black raspberry and blueberry notes, medium to full body, great fruit on the attack, supple, silky tannins, and a generous, voluptuous texture with no hard edges. This is certainly a sexy effort.
