Tasting notes
The 2014 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard is laced with compelling scents of lavender, graphite, menthol, sage and inky blue/purplish fruit. Beams of supporting tannin give the wine its spine. There is no shortage of intensity in this beguiling, hugely appealing Howell Mountain Zinfandel.

The 2014 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard (15.9% alcohol) is from another Howell Mountain site where Turley has excelled. Beautiful floral notes intermixed with raspberry, black cherry, spice box and pepper are stunningly rich, long and heady. This is a real beauty, full-bodied, opulent and a total hedonistic and intellectual turn-on. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
The 2014 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard is intensely mineral and savory in style, with tons of graphite, smoke, black cherry, menthol, lavender and sage pushed forward. The aromatics alone are utterly beguiling, but the firm, insistent tannins suggest it will be at least a few years before the 2014 is ready to offer its finest drinking.
