The 2016 Pinot Noir Quarter Moon Vineyard, from a 40-acre site located west of Freestone, offers a deeper, more savory, foresty character as well as plenty of black raspberry fruits, allspice, dried flowers, cedar, and loamy earth. This beautiful, layered, multi-dimensional Pinot Noir has terrific depth of fruit, a seamless texture, high yet integrated acidity, and a great finish. It’s another brilliant wine from this team.

Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2016 Pinot Noir Quarter Moon Vineyard is a little reticent to begin, displaying subtle notes of pomegranate, Bing cherries and mulberries with wafts of potpourri, dried Provence herbs, cassia, allspice and dusty soil. Medium-bodied with firm, grainy tannins and a lively line of acid framing the intense red berry and spicy layers, it finishes on a lingering mineral note. 1,985 cases produced.
Inky red and purplish fruit, hard candy, exotic spice and wild flowers infuse the 2016 Pinot Noir Quarter Moon Vineyard with much of its distinctive inner sweetness and raciness. Deep and creamy through the middle and into the finish, the Quarter Moon is another plush, big wine from Phelps.
