Dark ruby velvety look. Still very youthful and unformed. A bit callow at the moment with a hint of honey. Will it get there? One of the most youthful 2004s. Lots of acidity. And tannin. (JR)

Blacker still with a deep black cherry rim. Sweet ripe dark fruit with a dusty overlay and a note of cedary spice. Firm and a little bit lacking in fruit in the mid palate and a bit tough on the finish but lifted by a freshness at the very end. (JH)
