2022 Esprit de Beaucastel Blanc

A rich and generous nose of honeydew melon, orange blossoms, seaweed and lemons. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with bright acidity and complex notes of peaches, nectarines, beeswax and lanolin. Very complex and tightly bound structure that will unfold for years to come. Made from a blend of 33% roussanne, 32% grenache blanc, 14% picpoul blanc, 8% picardan, 8% clairette blanche, 5% bourboulenc. Drink or hold.

The 2022 Esprit de Tablas Blanc is impossible to ignore. Vividly fresh and pure, a burst of crushed stone and dried flowers give way to a cascade of lemony herbs and spices. This is texturally thrilling and silky, nearly glycerol in feel, yet balanced by a core of brisk acidity. Saline minerals add a tactile feel as ripe green apples settle on the senses. It finishes structured and long with a citrusy concentration slowly fading. In 2022 the blend of the Esprit de Tablas Blanc consists of 33% Roussanne, 32% Grenache Blanc, 14% Picpoul Blanc, 8% Picardan, 8% Clairette Blanche and 5% Bourboulenc. This blend was decided upon to balance the conditions of the vintage.
