Salted capers and shy raspberry fruit. Really takes its time to open up. Increasing depth and minerality. Austere raspberry fruit with linear acidity filled out with superfine tannins and concentrated raspberry fruit. Finely balanced and long. Stunning. (WS)

Alas, the 2016 Le Trame from Le Boncie that we paid corkage for shows some cork taint, which is infuriatingly not enough to disguise a seriously fine IGT from vineyards in Chianti Classico.
