Tasting notes
The 2020 Tempranillo opens in the glass with a perfumed blend of rose, dusty earth and raspberry. Soft and round on the palate, this shows polished red and blue fruit energized by brisk acidity. It finishes fresh yet still structured. Residual acids keep the mouth watering for more.

Smoked meat, graphite and mineral with dark plums and roasted spices to the nose. Such a chalky and structured tempranillo with broad-shouldered tannins and nice fruit crunch. Drinkable now, but better give it some time. A distinctively well-structured tempranillo. Drink from 2024.
The 2020 Tempranillo shows a touch of smokiness but has quality red and blue fruits as well as some classic Tempranillo graphite, roasted herbs, and chalky minerality. It's full-bodied on the palate and has good mid-palate depth, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. This will need to be watched with regard to smoke taint, but it should offer pleasure. The team at Booker Vineyard produced a solid lineup in 2020. Although clearly from a more difficult vintage, the wines have good fruit as well as texture. The 2021s are clearly a step up and terrific across the board.
