Tasting notes
The 2014 Zinfandel Ueberroth Vineyard, from one of the most historic sites in Paso Robles, is another fabulous wine from Turley. Blackberry, plum, lavender, game, leather and wild flowers add considerable aromatic intrigue to this deep, impeccable Zinfandel. The Ueberroth is particularly strong in 2014. There is a palpable sense of weight that is especially appealing.

From one of the more famous Turley vineyards (planted in 1885), the 2014 Zinfandel Ueberroth Vineyard comes from a site just down the street from the James Berry Vineyard of Justin Smith and his beloved Saxum Winery. It tips the scales at a whopping 16.1% natural alcohol. This is another killer Zinfandel with terrific minerality, focus and precision, but with thick, rich, blueberry and black raspberry flavors, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a stunningly long finish. This is a profound example of Zinfandel at its best and another compelling reason why Larry Turley and his staff have, for more than two decades, made some of the most prodigious Zinfandels in California. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
Blackberry jam, crème de cassis, lavender, cloves, licorice and menthol open up in the 2014 Zinfandel Ueberroth Vineyard. The richness ad gravitas of this site planted in 1885 comes through in spades. This 2014 is deep, rich and powerful to the core, with tons of sheer character.
