Score 94/100 · Drink 2018-2032, Robert Parker, Mar 2016

The 2014 Pinot Noir Lolita Ranch offers an almost grand cru Burgundian Musigny note, with powdered stones, strawberries and black cherries. It has terrific concentration and density, a full-bodied mouthfeel, great acidity, and well-integrated oak, alcohol and tannin. Give it 1-2 years of bottle age and drink it over the following 15+ years.

Bold, racy and exuberant, yet very much medium in body, the 2014 Pinot Noir Lolita Ranch exudes energy and boldness. Sweet red cherry, hard candy pomegranate, mint and sweet spices all open up in the glass. Racy and layered throughout, the 2014 is a terrific choice for drinking over the next handful of years.

Martinelli

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
