Ch Picque Caillou 2008 Pessac-Léognan Rouge 16 Drink 2014-22 Paler rim than some. Vivacious, easy, fluid fruit at first but without a really interesting core. Pretty drying tannins on the finish. (JR)

Fresh lemon with a touch of oak spice and very slightly but attractively herbaceous. Constrained and very crisp and lacking some weight in the middle to hold down the acidity so it finishes a bit tart. (JH)
