Vinfolio, Nov 2024
Jouan’s Chambolle-Musigny combines fruit from three parcels: Derrière le Four, Les Chardannes and Les Herbues. The nose is high-toned and floral with rose and violets, while there’s tight red-berry fruit and an earthiness too. The palate reveals a lean structure with more crunchy redcurrant fruit and chalky tannins with slightly surprising grip. It’s pure and still feels young, one of the less approachable wines in the vintage – but with plenty of promise.
About the producer

Philippe Jouan
The wines of Henri & Philippe Jouan fly under the radar – and, with the current quantities produced (from just three hectares of vines), this is unlikely to change any time soon.
