Medium red. Redcurrant, cocoa powder, minerals, iron, cinnamon and earth on the nose. Sweet and creamy on entry, then drier and more restrained in the middle, with understated, subtle flavors of red fruits, minerals and game. Very suave, vinous wine, finishing dry and classic, with terrific cut and grip.

Red-ruby. Sappy red fruits, spices, iron and licorice on the nuanced nose. Rich, full and youthfully unevolved. More time in barrel should bring greater complexity and length. As rich and long as the Mazis but not more powerful.
