Tasting notes
This has an intense, smoky and meaty nose, together with aromas of charred herbs, blackberries, black cherries, spice box, earth, burnt orange and fresh leather. It’s full-bodied, rich and flavorful with firm, chewy tannins. Deliciously inky with a deep core of spiced, peppered black fruit. Intense and long. Drink or hold.

(sourced from the sand-rich White Hawk vineyard near Los Alamos) Youthful violet. Highly perfumed aromas of black and blue fruits, Indian spices, pungent flowers and incense, along with a smoky nuance that builds in the glass. Palate-staining black raspberry and boysenberry flavors show impressive depth as well as energy. An exotic floral pastille nuance comes up on the strikingly long, smooth, gently tannic finish, which displays a lingering suggestion of sweet dark berry liqueur. This wine's combination of richness and elegance is pretty compelling.
