Vines planted 1983, 1986 and 1995. Very dark blackish crimson. Colour almost out to the rim. Light, very slightly rustic aromas. Tannins well in retreat leaving perhaps not quite enough fruit for perfection but this is an agreeable honest red burgundy you could enjoy already. Good freshness. (JR)

Based south of Nuits-Saint-Georges in Prémeaux-Prissey, Domaine de la Vougeraie was created in 1999, grouping all of Jean-Claude Boisset’s holdings under one name. The property has a total 40 hectares of vines, with extensive holdings in Vougeot as well as plots in six Grands Crus.
