Aged 20 months in oak (50% new). That's Pinotage all right: smoky, rubbery and sickly-sweet fruit – which isn't necessarily a criticism, although this will likely only appeal to devotees of the style. The sweet-coffee elements have a degree of artifice. (RH)

Deep colour, and a hint of smokiness underneath. Lots of prominent, crude oak character. Classic Pinotage, definitely fulfils the expectation. (RH)
