This seemed quite green, stemmy and youthful – presumably there was a strong whole bunch component. Good varietal expression and not too sweet but dominated by those stems for the moment. (JR)

Medium intensity, bright plum hue with purple rim. Subtlety is the key on the nose, gently perfumed and with notions of cherries, sandalwood and a very slight smoky expression. Juicy fruit, crunchy redcurrants with an ample measure of acidity, subtly toasted oak, all in quite delicate doses. Maybe a little raw at this stage, but undeniably sophisticated. Finely tuned and giving rise to great expectations. (MS)
