Tasting notes
The 2021 Spätburgunder Schlossberg GG is pretty reductive and lean on the first nose that combines pure red fruit with toasty and ethereal aromas and lots of salt and stones. Juicy and savory on the palate, this Pinot is a little thrifty but tight and tensioned, and it has a long, firm and concentrated, finish. It's closed today but very promising, 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in April 2024.

AP number 19 23. Pale ruby. Sweet, delicate start. Nothing overdone here. Real grip but still a little young. (JR)
Still very youthful on the nose, but this has a remarkable fragrance and energy. The interplay of floral and mineral qualities gives the palate an extraordinary tension that we find really exciting because it is underlined by a super-solid base of fine tannins. Still a bit shy, but with enormous aging potential. Drinkable now, but best from 2025.
