Tasting notes
70% Grenache Blanc with Roussanne and Clairette. All grown and fermented separately. One-third oak-fermented, with nine months' élevage. Oak-driven nose, sweetly spiced with white chocolate, almonds, tropical fruit and baked apple. Suitable low acid, but balanced thanks to a phenolic texture. Proudly full and fleshy. Really satisfying and gastronomic wine that probably represents good value for Châteauneuf. (RH)

From young vines close to the Beaucastel vineyard. Classic CNDP blend with the majority Grenache, plus Syrah and Mourvèdre. Harvested and vinified separately. Some whole bunches in the Syrah. Blended post malo. Aged in oak for 2 years. Cask sample. Mid to deep crimson. Scented with both red and black fruit. Peppery, beautifully fragrant. Generous fruit in an elegant framework. Freshness takes the wine to a long finish. (JH)
