2013 Cornas

Vinified chez Vincent Paris from bought-in fruit, mostly whole bunch, then taken to his cellar outside Gevrey-Chambertin for élevage. Bright crimson. Rich, ripe flavours and the merest whiff of paint on the nose (perhaps more evident in an array of burgundies than it would have been in the northern Rhône). Lovely sinews and polish. Really fun. Easy to drink fairly young. Falls away very, very slightly on the end. (JR)
