Tasting notes
Pale greenish gold. Aromas of white flowers, wet pavement and a touch of apple. Green apple, white flowers, rainwater and a hint of unripe green melon are backed by a chalky minerality with a little bit of grip to it. Notes of lemon cucumber linger in the finish. Very good acidity. A delicious wine. (AY)

The 2018 Chardonnay Peter Martin Ray offers deeper, savory tones on the nose and a very singular character: nori and iodine mingle with notes of crushed hazelnuts, touches of flowers and a core of stone fruit. The medium-bodied palate is rounded and earthy in character, refreshed by lively acidity and finishing long.
The 2018 Chardonnay Peter Martin Ray Vineyard is distinguished in this range by a decidedly exotic profile in its fruit. Chamomile, mint, jasmine, sage, rosemary and light tropical inflections give the 2018 its beguiling personality. Like all of these wines, the Peter Martin Ray is restrained in style, but here there is an extra bit of ripeness that comes through.
