Score 16/20 · Drink 2018-2030, Jancis Robinson MW, Jul 2015

40-year-old vines, 20-day fermentation, 50% new oak. Mid bright ruby. The fruit here is a bit tired on the nose. Awkward, sour, damson fruit. Very simple and raw. This is either the most youthful Côte de Beaune wine I have tasted or is made very cynically. Such hard work at the moment! Tannins there… (JR)
