Score 17.5/20 · Drink 2008-2013, Richard Hemming MW, jancisrobinson.com, Oct 2008
Ripe redcurrant, raspberry and powdered cocoa. Some tobacco, mint and coffee bean on the nose; beautifully open and expressive, with supple grain to the ripe tannin. Black fruit, pencil shavings, cigar box: mature, classic and balanced, certainly a benficiary of its strong vintage, and drinking very well now. (RH)
