Full of classic white Bordeaux signature, with smoked oak that almost dominates but pulls back to show balanced white pear, citrus, oyster shell salinity. Vignobles Chanfreau owner of these 6ha of white vines on limestone and fine gravel soils. Mouthwatering on the finish. 40% new oak, with 24,000 bottles, made since 1991. 40% new oak.
The 2022 Le Cygne de Fonréaud is a charming white wine with aromas of pear, peach, jasmine and lemon oil. It's medium-bodied, fleshy and succulent with lively acidity and a bright finish.
About the producer

Situated at the highest point in the Médoc (at a huge 43 metres above sea-level), this estate is thought to be named after a spring on the site, from which Henry II supposedly drank (a “royal fountain”).
