Drink 2033-2050, Vinfolio, Nov 2023
This hallowed Grand Cru was showing particular promise this year at Olivier Bernstein. The nose offers aromas of sweet, fleshy black and red berries, with a subtle note of orange peel. This full-bodied Chambertin is still very fresh, while fine-grained tannins are layered and complex. There is succulent acidity that makes the mouth water on an incredibly long finish, full of bright red fruit. This is impressive and, like the rest of Bernstein’s 2022s, will need time to reveal its full potential.
